Special 920 WHJJ Radio Report: Providence on the Brink

As Providence Mayor Angel Taveras holds a series of meetings this week on how to wring more money from a variety of stakeholders in the near-bankrupt capital city, GoLocal's editors Dan McGowan and Tracey Minkin will co-host a two-hour special radio broadcast on 920 WHJJ to investigate the current financial state of affairs in Providence.
Providence On The Brink: A GoLocal Special Report, will air live on WHJJ from 6am to 8am on Friday, February 17, and will feature an overview of the city's financial struggles as well as guest appearances by:
John Lombardi, former Providence City Council President who also served as Mayor for a short time between the terms of Buddy Cianci and David Cicilline.
David Salvatore, a first-term Councilman who is chairing the Council's subcommittee on pension reform and widely considered the pension expert on the Council.
Ernie Almonte, the former Auditor General of the state of Rhode Island.
Dan McGowan has been covering the city's financial story from the beginning, including breaking major headlines along the way. Tune in for his inside take behind those headlines. The show will take callers from 6am-8am at 1-866-920-WHJJ.
