RI Republican Party Chair Bell Saddened by Passing of Bradford Gorham
Monday, October 19, 2015
Rhode Island Republican Party Chairman Brandon Bell has released a statement regarding the passing of the Honorable Bradford Gorham.
The Statement is Below:
"We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Rhode Island House Minority Leader, Republican State Party Chairman and candidate for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General, Brad Gorham. A Captain in the Marine Corps, after graduating from Dartmouth College and Harvard Law he was tone of the most skilled and professional attorneys in the Rhode Island Bar for over 50 years. As Minority Leader in the 1980s, Gorham was a true leader on Smith Hill. His principled conservatism inspired us all with his spirited debate and opposition on the House floor. He debated with integrity, character and consistency while always showing a civility that is hard to find in partisan politics. He was a true Statesman. We wish his son Nick and his entire family all of our prayers during this difficult time."
