RI Mentoring Hosts “Be the Change” Tonight

The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership will wrap up National Mentoring Month by acknowledging the hard work of almost 5,000 mentors statewide at the organization’s “Be the Change: A Celebration of Mentoring” tonight.
The event will include performances by young people who have been mentored and a keynote address from Daisy Ortega, Senior Training Associate at Health Resources in Action, who is an expert in training professionals who work with youth. The event also includes speaker Ned Handy, President of Citizens Bank Rhode Island and the 2010-2011 Excellence in Mentoring Awards.
