RI Gas Prices Drop Below $2 Per Gallon for the First Time in 7 Years

Rhode Island gas prices have fallen below $2.00 for the first time since 2009, according to AAA Northeast.
According to AAA's most recent survey, RI gas prices for self-serve, regular unleaded is averaging $1.99 per gallon, down two cents from last week.
Rhode Island's gas price is three cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $1.96. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 31 cents higher at $2.30.
