Restaurant Pioneer Sylvia Moubayed of CAV Dies at 80

Sylvia Moubayed, who transformed the eating experience in Providence when she combined fine dining and art in the same environment, has died at age 80.  According to food writer Bruce Newbury she died at her home on Cape Cod.

Moubayed opened CAV in the early 1990’s and established it as an eclectic experience dripping with her creativity and dining point of view.  See an interview with Moubayed on The Taste with Rick Simone.
