Providence Parking Ban to Take Effect Sunday, February 15 at 2:00AM

A citywide parking ban in Providence will go into effect at 2:00AM on Sunday, February 15 and remain in effect until further notice.
Snowfall is expected to begin Saturday evening and increase in intensity into the night on Saturday and into Sunday. High winds and cold temperatures are expected to accompany the snow.
Residents with overnight parking passes are advised that they cannot park on the street during the duration of the citywide parking ban. All vehicles parked on the street in violation of the citywide parking ban will be ticketed and towed to ensure that roadways can be plowed.
Garbage and recycling pickup will take place as scheduled on Saturday, as trash collection is on a holiday schedule due to the storm earlier this week. Trash collection will continue on a holiday schedule next week, as Monday, February 16 is a national holiday.

The Providence Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) will begin a partial activation of the City's Emergency Operations Center at 6PM on Saturday, February 14.
The City's snow hotline will open at 12PM on Sunday, February 15 at 401-680-8080.
Residents experiencing power outages should contact National Grid at 800-322-3223. Individuals are warned never to touch downed power lines and report downed lines to National Grid. In the event of an emergency always dial 911.
