North Providence may be one of the state’s smallest communities but has the eight-highest population of Rhode Island’s 39 cities and towns. Formed in June 13, 1765, after separating from Providence, this small town likes to celebrate its classic Rhode Island culture. North Providence also embodies a bustling residential area with most of its residents working outside of their community.
