NEW: Wednesday PowerBall® Jackpot is $245 Million

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

The PowerBall® jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is just shy of a quarter billion dollars.

If the jackpot gets hit on Wednesday and the winner chooses the annuity option, the $245 million jackpot would be paid over 29 years in 30 installments. If the winner chooses the cash option, the lump sum payment is estimated at $146.2 million.

There have been 13 consecutive draws without a jackpot winner since the current run started on September 17, 2011.

All players should sign the back of their tickets immediately upon purchase so no one else can wrongfully claim their prize.

In addition to the rapidly growing jackpot, the subsidiary prizes, ranging up to $200,000, have many players opting for the Power Play® feature, which for an extra $1 per wager, can multiply the prize amount to up to $1,000,000.

The Mega Millions® jackpot is also getting high with tonight’s estimated jackpot at $78 million.
