UPDATED: Voters Stuck in Line for Hours at Juanita Sanchez Complex in Providence

Voters have been waiting in line for several hours at the Juanita Sanchez Complex on Thurbers Ave. in Providence as board of elections officials work to increase staffing to allow more residents to vote.
The polls closed at 8pm, but anyone line will be allowed to vote.
Nearly 3,000 votes have been cast at the site, but campaign staffers for both Congressman Cicilline ad Brendan Doherty have been monitoring the situation closely to make sure that all voters in line will be allowed to vote.

Providence Mayor Angel Taveras is reportedly on the scene promising to keep the polling station open until everyone in line has had a chance to vote the source said. It's unclear what has caused the backlog of voters, but closing times one hour earlier than usual could be a factor.
