The Washington Post’s Robert Costa is now reporting on Saturday, the retired Michael Flynn is a leading candidate to be selected as the Vice Presidential Candidate to run with Donald Trump.

Flynn grew up in Middletown and is a grad of the University of Rhode Island.

“Donald Trump is increasingly intrigued by the idea of tapping retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn in order to project strength and know-how on national security, according to four people familiar with the vetting process,” wrote Costa in the Post Saturday.

GoLocalProv had reported in May that Flynn was on the short list for consideration for the Vice Presidential slot.
