What's behind the 2nd Annual Top Schools in RI 2011?
Hear the podcast of Features Editor Tracey Minkin speaking with Talk Radio 920 WHJJ's Helen Glover this morning about GoLocal's massive research and reporting project, just two hours after the results were released, live today. Minkin gave the talk show host an overview of GoLocal's process from A to Z, discussed the important link between school performance and home values, and looked at dozens of this year's top schools and results.

The ranking's top story, the move of Warwick's Toll Gate High School from 21st place all the way to #8, had Glover wondering what kind of magic was afoot in at the Warwick High School.
"If I ran a high school, I'd want to know what they're doing there," she said.

Helen Glover lives with her husband and daughter Katherine in Portsmouth, but may be more famous for her appearance on the hit CBS series Survivor: Thailand. As a cast member, Helen survived to the Final Four, eventually done in by a conspiracy led by the eventual winner. However, Helen did emerge as one of the most popular and respected members of the cast. Her on-camera interviews were entertaining as well as insightful. Helen's wit showed through, even under the most stressful circumstances and she became the go-to person when the producers were looking for an articulate, well thought out analysis of the game. In the final show, Helen's exit speech and questions to the Finalists will be the standard to which all that follow will be measured.
