NEW: State Recieves Hospital Conversion Application From Landmark/Steward

The Office of Attorney General (RIAG) and the Rhode Island Department of Health (HEALTH) announced that on Friday, October 14, 2011 the two offices received the Hospital Conversion Application for Steward Health Care System LLC, Steward Medical Holdings LLC, Blackstone Medical Center, Inc., Blackstone Rehabilitation Hospital, Inc., and Jonathan N. Savage, Esq. in his capacity as the court-appointed Special Master for Landmark Health Systems, Inc., Landmark Medical Center and Northern Rhode Island Rehab Management Associates, L.P. d/b/a Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island.
Pursuant to R.I. Gen. Laws § 23-17.14-7, The Hospital Conversion Act, RIAG and HEALTH have 30 days to determine if the application received is complete. If the application is not deemed complete, the applicant will receive a written specification itemizing the additional information the applicant is required to provide.
