NEW: RI Gas Prices Rise 5 Cents From Last Week

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up five cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast. AAA's February 16 survey of prices in RI found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.24 per gallon. 

Prices locally are nine cents higher than a month ago and the current price is a penny less than the national average for regular unleaded. 

A year ago at this time, Rhode Island's average price was $1.24 higher at #3.48.

Self Serve                                   Grade

$2.249 ($2.179-$2.399)                Regular Unleaded

$2.469 ($2.339-$2.799)                Midgrade Unleaded

$2.619 ($2.449-$2.999)                Premium Unleaded

$2.919 ($2.699-$3.529)                Diesel
