NEW: RI Gas Prices Rise 5 Cents From Last Week

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up five cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast. AAA's February 16 survey of prices in RI found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.24 per gallon.
Prices locally are nine cents higher than a month ago and the current price is a penny less than the national average for regular unleaded.
A year ago at this time, Rhode Island's average price was $1.24 higher at #3.48.
