Providence's Cook and Brown Public House is closing.

The owners of the East Side restaurant on Hope Street posted the following Thursday morning.

Here we go. Cook & Brown will be officially closing on December 29th. As many of you may know I (Nemo) had a fairly major health scare earlier in the year. That, plus some other personal and professional reasons, pushed this difficult decision forward. This restaurant has been an interesting, challenging, difficult, wonderful adventure for the past nine years. I know it hasn’t been a perfect restaurant but a lot of great food, cocktails, and hospitality was served to, and by, some really amazing people over the years. I hope you’ll come in for a visit in the next few weeks. More details to come. Thanks for all of it. Nemo
