OTA Broadcasting has purchased WLWC-TV New Bedford, better known as the CW affiliate (digital channel 22 and virtual channel 28) for Providence, Rhode Island for $13.75 million cash.

The move comes on the heels of sale by the station’s original owner, Four Points Media, to Sinclair that covered over $200 million worth of Four Points Media stations.

OTA Broadcasting is a relatively new entry in the television business and currently has stations in Seattle, San Francisco and Manhattan, with the acquisition of another pending in Houston.
