Pipeline Protesters Chained to TD Bank in Providence Snarl Traffic Wednesday Morning

Protestors who chained themselves to the TD Bank on Westminster Street tied up traffic at the corner of Dorrance on Wednesday morning, before being removed by the Providence Police.
TD Bank has been the target of protests across the country for its financial backing of the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline.

Police and fire blocked off the area with police tape, and a tarp covered the protestors from view.
The Providence Police did not immediately respond to inquiries on Wednesday as to the number of arrests made.
