Newport Harbor Corporation has announced its agreement to purchase seven Papa Razzi restaurants. Papa Razzi, a Boston based modern Italian restaurant chain, was previously owned by Charles Sarkis, founder of the Back Bay Restaurant Group.
Newport Harbor Corporation owns and operates a collection of hospitality businesses including Newport Restaurant Group. They are pleased to add Papa Razzi to its award-winning portfolio of restaurants, some of which include Hemenway’s Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar, Waterman Grille and Castle Hill Inn.
The seven Papa Razzi locations comprised in the deal include the Boston, Burlington, Chestnut Hill, Concord, Framingham, and Wellesley, MA locations, as well as the Garden City location in Cranston, RI.
"I am excited to return to my roots in Boston and to bring our philosophy to the Papa Razzi concept,” said Casey Riley, NHC’s Chief Operating Officer, who began his culinary career at Boston’s renowned L’Espalier. Riley’s influence will ensure that the food experience at Papa Razzi, classic Italian preparations based on fresh ingredients and scratch cooking, is sustained and enriched.
Paul O’Reilly, Chief Executive Officer, Newport Harbor Corporation is thrilled with the latest addition. “The Papa Razzi brand aligns with our organization’s strategic plan for expansion based on the concept, culinary philosophy, and the geographic market served.”
