NEW: Lottery Paid Out More Than $1.2 Million in September

More than $1 million in high tier prizes was claimed in September from the Rhode Island State Lottery. More than $10.7 Million in Prizes were paid out.

This month, there was over $10.7 million paid out by the Rhode Island Lottery to its players. $4.2 million was paid out to Keno winners, while instant ticket winners walked away with more than $4 million. The rest of the prizes paid went to PowerBall®, Wild Money, Mega Millions®, and Daily Numbers winners.

Of this $10.7 million, 13 Rhode Island Lottery players cashed in tickets winning $10,000 or more for a combined total of $1,212,029 claimed in high tier prizes. Wins varied from $10,000 claims in Providence to a $1 million win in Richmond. The lucky player got the PowerBall® and PowerPlay® tickets from Hess Express in Richmond, RI September 30. Winners in Providence, Riverside, Harrisville, Woonsocket, and North Providence won the least, claiming $10,000 tickets.
