A large bear is on the loose in Scituate, Rhode Island, according to the Scituate Police Department, which has sent robocall warnings to residents Friday afternoon.

According to police dispatcher Guinn, the bear was spotted by police this morning at Rocky Hill Road, and the force is asking everyone "to use caution," especially for outdoor activities with children and pets.

Further, the police advise "not to approach" the animal if spotted, and to call the police. Further, anyone who spots the bear can go to the DEM's website and report the sighting as well.
