video: NEW: Hinckley Blasts Whitehouse Over PAC Money

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Republican Senate candidate Barry Hinckley today said the more than $2 million Democratic incumbent Sheldon Whitehouse has received from political action committees (PACs) raises question about whether the Senator has been compromised by special interest groups

“I find it disingenuous on the part of Senator Whitehouse to tell Rhode Islanders that he is fighting against special interests, yet at the same time, he has his hand out to the same special interests,” Hinckley said during a press conference held outside Whitehouse’s office. “We need new faces and new leadership in Washington, D.C., not the same old career politicians. I promise to fight every day for Rhode Island to make sure that everyone looking for a job will have one. That those looking for the American dream, will have their chance to achieve it.”

Hinckley’s campaign also released another web video breaking down the amount the Senator has received from PACs.

Separately, Hinckley took the Senator to task for announcing a jobs plan more than five years since taking office.

“The unemployment rate has doubled in five years,” Hinckley said.

wow... every Rhode Islander should see the numbers in this video... it makes a lot more sense when you line it up with his voting record. He has done nothing for Rhode Island...
