NEW: Gemma Attempting to Staff Up Ahead of Campaign Announcement
Monday, April 02, 2012
Anthony Gemma hasn’t officially announced his intention to challenge Congressman David Cicilline in a Democratic primary, but it appears the pro-life businessman is already searching for campaign staffers, according to several posts on the Google group JobsthatareLEFT.
A March 27 post says a “Southern New England Democratic House candidate seeks interns for competitive primary race” and then offers the job description.
The post was written by Michael Giblin, who served as Gemma’s field director in his second place finish in a four-way Democratic primary in 2010.

It comes as little surprise that Gemma would begin staffing up for his campaign, but it does put to rest any rumors that he was considering running as an Independent. He is expected announce his candidacy on April 15.
