NEW: Gas Prices up 6 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up six cents this week, the eighth consecutive week of increases, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s February 13 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.64 per gallon, six cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 16 cents over the last month. The current price is 13 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.51. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.19.
