NEW: Gas Prices Up 4 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up four cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s August 27th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.85 per gallon, four cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 23 cents over the last month.

The current price is ten cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.75. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.73.
