NEW: Gas Prices up 2 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up two cents this week, the fourth consecutive week of increases, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s January 23 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.50 per gallon, two cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 15 cents over the last month. The current price is 12 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.38. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.19.
