NEW: Gas Prices Up 19 Cents Since Last Month

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up six cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s August 20th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.81 per gallon, six cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 19 cents over the last month.
The current price is nine cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.72. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.73.
