NEW: Gas Prices Drop 6 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down six cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s October 22nd survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.889 per gallon, six cents less than last week. Prices locally are down seven cents over the last month. The current price is 21 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.67.

A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.54.
