NEW: Gas Prices Down One Cent

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down one cent this week, the first drop in prices since early July, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s September 4th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.84 per gallon, one cent less than last week. Prices locally are up 16 cents over the last month. The current price is two cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.82.
A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.73.
