NEW: Gas Prices Down a Penny

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down one cent this week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s April 23 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.96 per gallon, one cent less than last week. Prices locally are up eight cents over the last month.
The current price is 11 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.85. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.92.
