NEW: Gas Prices Down 6 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down six cents this week, the sixth consecutive week of decreases, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s May 29 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.75 per gallon, six cents less than last week. Prices locally have dropped 17 cents over the last month and 22 cents over the last six weeks.
The current price is 12 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.63. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.92.
