NEW: Gas Prices Down 3 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down three cents this week, the seventh consecutive week of decreases, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s June 4th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.72 per gallon, three cents less than last week. Prices locally have dropped 25 cents since the peak gas price seen in the April 16th survey.
The current price is 14 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.58. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.87.
