NEW: Gas Prices Dip by 12 Cents

Monday, June 11, 2012

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down twelve cents this week, the eighth consecutive week of decreases, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s June 11th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.60 per gallon, twelve cents less than last week. Prices locally have dropped 37 cents since the peak gas price seen in the April 16th survey.

The current price is six cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.54. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.82.
