Republican Congressional candidate Brendan Doherty today named Dave Layman the campaign’s Director of Communications and Media Strategies.
Layman will join the campaign on September 6th.
“Dave Layman is a well-respected and experienced media professional who has an impeccable reputation for honesty and integrity,” said Doherty. “Rhode Islanders know Dave, they trust him, and I am ecstatic that he will be bringing his knowledge and work ethic to our campaign through the election.”

Over the years, he became familiar to southern New Englanders as an award- winning evening news anchor, managing editor and reporter for NBC10 (WJAR-TV), ABC6 (WLNE-TV). He also held similar positions at some of the top TV stations across the country, including Dallas, St. Louis and Minneapolis.
