Crowdfunding has begun for the the Newport tall ship, a replica of the USS Providence, that was damaged during Blizzard Juno.

The crowdfunding has been set up by Nicole Raab who was heartbroken to see the ship damaged.

“It felt like someone ripped out my insides when I saw the first photo of her damage. She is a part of me, no doubt. We will bring her back, together will all our crew we can heal her," said Raab, who has worked on the ship, on the damage and the ship's future.

The ship was being stored in the Newport Shipyards but due to the high winds the storm brought, the ship toppled over and needs a lot of repairs before it is able to get back into the water.
