The savings break down as follows. The total amount listed for each position includes annual compensation, as well how much in employment taxes and contributions to the pension system the city had to make.
■ Matt Oliverio Assistant Solicitor—$67,113.64 annually
■ Ken Slowik—$49,811.97
■ Kenneth Vaudiveil—$48,006.32
Oliverio was handling prosecutions for the city. That job has now been outsourced at a cost of $26,000, so the net savings from his position will be $41,113.64, according to Chafee spokesman Christian Vareika.
