NEW: Central Falls Mayoral Candidate Diossa Endorsed by Senator Reed

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

United States Senator Jack Reed today officially announced his endorsement of City Councilman James A. Diossa for mayor of Central Falls.

“I am supporting James because I know that he is the right leader to turn Central Falls around and lead it to a bright new future,” Senator Reed stated. “I have walked the streets of Central Falls with him and I trust that he will be a strong advocate for the people of his city.”

Reed said that, “this coming Tuesday is a critical election and I hope you will stand with James Diossa, a candidate who truly embodies the city’s motto of ‘a bright future.’”

“Senator Reed’s endorsement means the world to me," said Diossa. "I know that, with Senator Reed’s support, we are going to find the resources to create jobs, reinvest in our small business owners and create safe and affordable housing in Central Falls. Together, we are going to bring Central Falls back.”

Jimmy, please promise that if Moreau runs for higher office you won't support him.

That is what your mentor, Angel Taveras did. We elected him thinking he would cleanse us of the Cicilline stain on the city,

Then he turned around and supported Cicilline for higher office.

Very disappointing. But I guess he is more of a politician than a statesmen.
