Central Falls Councilman and Mayoral hopeful James Diossa has picked up another endorsement from a Rhode Island lawmaker, this time from State Rep. Agostinho Silva (D-District 56).

“I am confident that James will unite the City of Central Falls and provide much needed leadership,” Silva said. “I trust him and believe he is the fresh face we need. He will bring people together and encourage the youth of Central Falls to become more involved. I look forward to working with him to ensure a brighter future for Central Falls.”

Like Diossa, Representative Silva has served on the City Council. Representative Silva has represented Central Falls as a legislator since 2006 and is a Deputy Majority Leader.

“Now is the time to support James for Mayor,” Silva said. “Central Falls will be getting a fresh start and we need to move forward in the right direction. This election is too important. I urge the voters of Central Falls to support James Diossa.”

Diossa, who has also earned the endorsement of Senator Elizabeth Crowley, has more than double the amount of campaign funds than the four other candidates in the race combined.
