Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death by a Boston jury on Friday afternoon. This decision comes after 16 hours of deliberations over the last couple of days.
Tsarnaev was found guilty on all of the 30 counts that he was charged with on Wednesday, April 8 in the Boston Marathon bombing trial.
The trial began on March 4. His defense lawyers admitted from beginning of the trial that he took part in the attack. The strategy was to save him from execution by claiming he was influenced by his radicalized older brother, Tamerlan.
