NEW: Alan Shawn Feinstein Supports “Wheels for Meals” Program

Noted philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein is endorsing the Providence Community Action Program’s (ProCAP) “Wheels for Meals” – a program that accepts donations of unwanted vehicles to supplement the agency’s food distribution efforts. Feinstein recently filmed a television commercial promoting the program and has donated a significant amount of airtime.
“Mr. Feinstein’s generous assistance will allow us to do even more to combat the persistent and growing problem of hunger in our community, a cause to which he has already donated so much to help so many,” said Frank Corbishley, ProCAP’s Executive Director.
Wheels for Meals uses proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles to support ProCAP’s anti-hunger programs, which serve 26 food pantries and other sites across Rhode Island. The donating party – individuals and businesses alike – may deduct the donation amount from both state and federal tax returns.
