NEW: 38 Studios Auction Brings in $650k

Friday, October 26, 2012

]Computer equipment, furniture, figurines and other goods from the now-bankrupt 38 Studios sold for about $650,000 during an auction held Tuesday, according to the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (EDC).

The failed video game company founded by former Red Sox ace Curt Schilling has now sold off more than $750,000 in goods between Providence and its Maryland office, which accounts for roughly one percent of the $75 million loan guarantee the EDC gave the company to move to Rhode Island two years ago.

The company filed for bankruptcy in June.
