Iced coffees are great...but what about restaurant safely? See how restaurants in Providence fared this past year.

With another Labor Day weekend upon us, this time of year marks the unofficial end of yet another Rhode Island summer. As we embark upon the fall -- and business as usual, or perhaps not -- GoLocal takes a look at the big stories that have dominated the year so far.

What Matters to You

So just what is important to GoLocalProv readers, and Rhode Island residents? Whether it be earning a top spot as a nationally renowned coffee city or keeping tabs on what Rhode Island beaches are open for business -- or which Providence city pools were being closed -- GoLocal has its fingers on the pulse of the city and state, from politics, to business, to culture, to healthcare -- to name just a few categories covered.
