Both Congressman David Cicilline and Republican challenger Brendan Doherty have expressed that creating and bringing jobs to Rhode Island is a key issue on their agendas.
A GoLocalTV investigation into the campaign finance reports for Cicilline and Doherty unveils that between the two of them they have spent almost $1.9 Million through August 22nd on campaign operating expenditures including consultants, fundraising events, advertising and printing expenses with nearly half of their business leaving the state.
Doherty’s campaign spent 72% of his $500 thousand in Rhode Island, while Cicilline spent 55% with consultants, pollsters and vendors outside the state. See GoLocalTV's exclusive report.
