In the 2011 session the General Assembly took on some big issues an passed on others. They passed a controversal budget, adopted civil union legislation, but rejected a marriage equality statute. As usual they waited until the last couple of nights to pass and kill anything of substance.

They left pension reform for a fall special session. They took no action of immigration, binding arbitration did not pass, but may be back for the special session.

Late night, last night bills included the Providence School Committee raid and a range of others.
