GoLocal's Quote of the Week

The week GoLocal unveils "Quote of the Week." The first recipient is the co-founder of the education reform movement Big Picture Learning which spawned Providence's Met School and more than another 100 schools around the globe.

Dennis Littky was recently quoted by the New England Board of Higher Education. Littky, who will receive the top Rhode Island award from the New England Board in 2011, was quoted as saying in response to common core standardized testing - the new mantra of the education era, "Who wants a standardized kid, anyway?”
