UPDATED GoLocalProv to Go on Sirius Radio Tomorrow
Thursday, April 14, 2011
GoLocalProv reporter Stephen Beale will be a guest on “The Michelangelo Signorile Show,” on Sirius XM Radio’s OutQ channel tomorrow to discuss the state of gay marriage legislation in Rhode Island.
The show airs on Sirius 109, XM 98. An exact time has not yet been set.
Last week, GoLocalProv reported that gay marriage legislation faced serious challenges in the Rhode Island House. It remains stalled in the Judiciary Committee, with more members on the record as opposing it than supporting it. On the House floor, sources tell GoLocalProv that the bill would not fare much better. Sources say there are 32 to 34 votes to pass, short of the necessary 38 majority.

GoLocalProv also ran an exclusive interview with Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin earlier this week, in which the church leader expressed support for some limited benefits for gay couples.
