Ghiorse’s 4th of July Weekend Forecast

Thursday, July 01, 2010

I’m shaking my head with amazement but I still can’t see anything wrong with the weather ahead for the upcoming 4th of July weekend unless, that is, you don’t want to see a return of heat and humidity. But let’s face it that is what most of us want for a number of reasons … beach, pool, camping, cookouts. Well, maybe not parades but, hey, what would the Bristol 4th of July Parade on the 5th or the Ancient and Horribles Parade in Chepachet be without some good old-fashioned firecracker weather!

Now the details. Today’s comfortable weather will not last through the weekend. I look for humidity levels and temperatures to begin to rise on Saturday and by Sunday and Monday will likely be right back where we were early this week. That means highs in the 70s today and tomorrow, 80s on Saturday and 90 or higher away from the beaches Sunday and Monday. Throughout I see lots of sunshine and only a minimal chance of any precipitation. There you have it. Pretty straightforward stuff. As always, if any wrinkles show up, I’ll keep you updated. Meanwhile, go out and enjoy the big holiday activities and do it safely.

Check everyday over the weekend for the Ghiorse Factor and my Tweet updates for changes.
