Cicilline, Taveras to Discuss Benefits of Federal Grant Program

Congressman David Cicilline and Providence Mayor Angel Taveras will appear at a press conference today to the tout the benefits of Community Development Block Grants, a federal program that dates back to the 1970s.

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, who is the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, will also be attending the press conference, along with mayors and other U.S. reps from around the country. The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. this afternoon at 2168 Rayburn House Office Building.

Well they have to have something to talk about, no sense being concerned about employment and business development.
RI is a welfare state so go for the government support, we can't do it on our own with the thoughtless people in control.
This is all happening because voters don't get off their fat cans and vote in responsible people.
Cicilline was a disease to Providence for 8 years and now we have him for 4 more years as a congressman. God help us.
