Chafee Names New Director to Department of Business Regulation

Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee announced today that he had selected Paul McGreevy, a former Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy and business consultant, to be Director of the Department of Business Regulation.
“Paul McGreevy has decades of experience in strategic planning,” Chafee said. “He has proven in a variety of environments that he has the ability to approach problem- solving, organization, and planning in a way that produces positive, lasting results. From his military service to his years in the business world, Paul has the experience to perform effectively as the Director of the Department of Business Regulation.”
McGreevy reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander while serving in U.S. Navy from 1982-1995. Following his experience in the Navy, McGreevy spent over fourteen years as a senior management and IT consultant with KPMG LLP. While with KPMG LLP he bore Point Inc., and Deloitte Consulting LLP, specializing in business strategic planning, organizational development, and technology architecture for federal agencies.

Most recently McGreevy was a Project Manager for Governor-elect Chafee’s winning gubernatorial campaign. He is currently Chafee’s Transition Manager.
