It has to be the best field trip a RI business person can take.

Next month, Senator Jack Reed will once again host his annual Business Day Fly-In, a fantastic day of meetings with RI and national representatives, influencers, and decision-makers in Washington, DC. Co-sponsored by the Rhode Island Food Dealers Association, the event features Sen. Reed hosting a whirlwind itinerary of conversations on topics ranging from energy and health care to workforce development, immigration, and emergency preparedness. Not only do attendees gain access to some of the most powerful men and women in the country, they get an opportunity to ask questions and voice their own concerns.

Last year's speakers included the RI congressional delegation, as well as Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, Chief Economist Jared Bernstein, SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke.
