Brown U. Ranked 25th in Regional Survey
Wednesday, December 15, 2010
Brown University took last place on Forbes Magazine's Top 25 Best Colleges in the Northeast. It finished behind every other Ivy League institution except Cornell, which did not make the list.
The rankings were calculated using data from the Center for College Affordability and Productivity on the quality of the education provided, the experience of the students, how much the students achieve in their time at school, and the amount of debt they graduate with.
"The ranking is, unlike many other college rankings, not determined largely by reputation" said Forbes. "Our list emphasizes the quality of the students a school graduates, not the quality it admits."
