The complaint comes from a sophomore student who describes herself as an atheist, in regard to an auditorium banner which begins "Our Heavenly Father" and ends with "Amen."  The issue is about the separation of church and state, and some arguments will involve a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling of 1992 on the same subject that was brought by a Providence family against a local middle school.  Also involved is the cost to the city of defending against the complaint.
